U Ba Lwin, was born in Rangoon, Burma on 20 September 1892) was founder of the Myoma National High School. He was a leading Burmese nationalist and national Educational figure of the 20th century. He was one of the national education leaders and a famous education leader. The Myoma school was first founded at Bahan township in December 1920. Then he was the headmaster of the Myoma National School. And the school was built in 1929 as part of a nationwide movement by the nationalist Burmese to counter what they perceived as drawbacks of the British colonial education system: lack of access, and a heavily biased curriculum. “Myoma Sayagyi U Ba Lwin (or) Beginner of National Education” book is one of the famous and the bestseller books of Myoma Myint Kywe. Myoma Myint Kywe was a monitor from Myoma National School. He was a pupil of Principal Myoma Sayagyi U Ba Lwin.

Sayadaw U Wirathu

U Wirathu, (Burmese: ဝီရသူ) (born 10 July 1968 in Kyaukse, Mandalay Division, Burma) is a Burmese Buddhist monk, and the spiritual leader of the anti-Muslim movement in Burma.

Almost people in Myanmar said that U Wirathu is one of the noble Buddhist monks, peacemakers and regarded as the movement’s highest protector for Buddhism. It has been reported that he advocates the boycott of shops owned by Muslims. The first 9 stands for the nine special attributes of the Lord Buddha and the 6 for the six special attributes of his Dharma, or Buddhist Teachings, and the last 9 represents the nine special attributes of Buddhist Sangha [monks]. Those special attributes are the Three Jewels of the Buddha. In the past, the Buddha, Sangha, Dhamma and the wheel of Dhamma were Buddhists’ sign. And the same goes for 969; it is another Buddhist sign.

Burma (Myanmar) President U Thein Sein clarified  Time of slandering the Buddhist religion and harming the national reconciliation process by accusing the outspoken cleric of stoking anti-Muslim violence in Burma.

U Thein Sein described U Wirathu as a “son of Buddha”, the president defended U Wirathu as a “noble person” committed to peace. “The article in Time Magazine can cause misunderstanding about the Buddhist religion, which has existed for millennia and is followed by the majority of Burmese citizens,” President U Thein Sein said.

Park later gained more popularity through idol drama series You’re Beautiful with Jang Geun Suk. The drama made her popular worldwide and the songs ‘Lovely Day ‘ and ‘Without Words’ sung by her forYou’re Beautiful OST made her even more lovable. In 2010 she stared in the low budget romantic comedy film Cyrano Agency which revolved around a dating agency that helps its customers win the hearts of the people they desire. The film was a sleeper hit becoming a critical and commercial success attracting 2.7 million admissions nationwide becoming the 8th best selling film of the year. Her 2011 drama Heartstrings began airing on June 29, 2011. Jung Yong Hwa, a co-star from You’re Beautiful, played the male lead opposite her.

In 2012, Park was featured in the first three episodes of the show “Music and Lyrics” with Yoon Gun (윤건) of Korean R&B duo Brown Eyes (브라운아이즈). ‘Music and Lyrics’ is a reality/romance show that collaborates a top actress and an amazing songwriter to write a one-of-a-kind song in 30 days.  Their efforts produced the song “I Think of You” which never been officially released.

Park joined the cast of the KBS drama special season 3, “Don’t Worry, I’m a Ghost” which broadcasted on July 15. She plays the ghost “Kim Yeon-Hwa” who was murdered in a robbery. Yeon-Hwa haunted Moon-Ki who was involved in a car accident and lost his memories.   Her portrayal of Yeon-hwa won Park Shin Hye “Best One-Act Special Actress” Award at the 2012 KBS Drama Awards.

On October 31, 2012, It was announced that Park would star in the third installment of tvN’s “flower boy” series called Flower Boys Next Door, along with actor Yoon Shi Yoon.  The drama series aired from February 7th to the 25th of 2013.

Lee Min-ho, (born June 28, 1993) is a South Korean actor. He is well known for his role as young Yang Myung in Moon Embracing the Sun and Song Mang-boo in Rooftop Prince.

Min-ho started his career as a child actor. He debuted at the age of five playing the role of Jung-bae in 1998 SBS daily sitcom Soonpoong Clinic, the show ran for 2 years.  In 2005, he starred with Yoo Seung-ho in KBS’ Magic Warriors Mir & Gaon which gain them access to popularity among elementary students and their peers.

In 2010, he was cast in the movie Ghost, he played the role of Park Chul-Min a high school student who can see the ghost of cute girl named Seo-Hee (Choi Hye-kyung) but pretends not to see her. In same year he was cast opposite to Kim Yoo-jung in Grudge: The Revolt of Gumiho, in the drama they played as two young people in love with each other.[11] After Gumiho, he had a brief cameo in Sungkyunkwan Scandal as a petty thief Bok-soo.

In 2012, Lee Min-ho played the role of young Yang Myung, the unrequited love of Kim Yoo-jung’s character in Moon Embracing the Sun. Lee, who earned popularity with his deft portrayal of the young Yang Myung in the MBC drama, was cast as Song Kang-ho’s rebellious son in the movie Howling.He appeared in the music video for 2BIC′s debut song I Made Another Girl Cry.

After building up his profile as one of Korea’s nation child star, he successfully transitioned in adult role through Rooftop Prince where he plays the role of Song Mang-boo, a genius and the youngest civil service exam passer. He accompanies Yoochun’s character in 21st century in search for the crown princess.  Following his stint in Rooftop Prince, he has been cast as Gi-hyuk, son of Shin Ha-kyun’s character in the upcoming movie Running Man which is the first movie produced by Hollywood Major Studio 20th Century Fox Korea.  Lee Min-ho also appears in The Great Seer as King Woo of the Goryeo Dynasty.

May Sweet, born on 13 February 1962) is a Burmese singer and actress, and considered one of the most commercially successful female singers in the history of Burmese pop music. She is most famous for her Burmese covers of Eurodisco and American rock and pop songs as well as classic Burmese songs from the pre- and post-war eras.

At 17, riding her popularity as a singer, May Sweet entered into a film career, getting the lead role in her first film. She made numerous films opposite the top leading men of the day such as Kyaw Thu, Yan Aung, Zin Waing, Pyay Nyein, and Ye Aung. She never achieved anywhere near her mother’s popularity or success in films, and stopped making films when she was about 30.

Nay Toe, born Nay Lin Aung on 9 September 1981) is a Myanmar Academy Award-winning film actor and a comedian with the Burmese traditional dance troupe Htawara Hninzi. He won his first academy award for best actor with the 2009 film Moe Nya Einmet Myu.

Nay Toe was born as Nay Lin Aung on 9 September 1981 to ethnic Rakhine parents, Than Myaing and her husband Aung Than in Manaung, Rakhine State. Being the second-born child in the family, Nay Toe has an elder brother as well as a younger brother and a younger sister.

He did not have any connections to the Burmese film industry before starting out his career as a Model and eventually as an Actor.

He graduated from Yangon University with a B.Sc. in Mathematics.

Dr. Than Tun

Dr. Than Tun,  6 April 1923 – 30 November 2005) was an influential Burmese historian as well as an outspoken critic of the military junta of Burma. For his lifelong contributions to the development of worldwide study of Burmese history and culture, Professor Than Tun was awarded the Fukuoka Asian Culture Prize in 2000.

Dr. Than Tun became a lecturer in University of Rangoon’s Department of History and Political Science in 1959. In 1965, he was promoted to the Professor and Head of Department in History at University of Mandalay. Professor Than Tun left Mandalay in 1982 for University of Tokyo’s Department of South East Asian Studies where he was a Research Fellow and Visiting Professor from 1982 to 1987. Later, he was a visiting professor in Northern Illinois University where he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Literature in 1988. From 1989 to 1990, he was a visiting scholar at the University of Michigan. In 1990 he came back to Burma and worked as a Member of the Myanmar (Burmese) Historical Commission and Emeritus Professor in University of Yangon in the Departments of History and Archeology.

In 2000 Fukuoka Asian Culture prize Committee awarded Professor Than Tun the highest worldwide academic award, a Literate of the 11th Fukuoka Asian Culture Prizes in the Academic Prize Category.
